An Evening of Inspiration, Partnership and Second Chances

(Watch Video)

Tempus Novo’s 12th Anniversary Charity Evening at Rudding Park Hotel was a resounding success, bringing together supporters, employers, partners, ambassadors, trustees and former beneficiaries , not forgetting friends of the charity to celebrate twelve years of transforming lives through sustainable employment.

The evening was not only a celebration of Tempus Novo’s achievements but also a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when businesses communities and individuals who work together to create opportunities for people seeking a second chance.

Hosted in the magnificent surroundings of Rudding Park the event showcased the extraordinary impact that Tempus Novo has made since its foundation. Over the past twelve years the charity has helped thousands of individuals with convictions move into meaningful employment rebuilding their lives supporting their families and making positive contributions to society.

At the heart of the evening was recognition of the vision and dedication of Tempus Novo’s founders, Steve Freer and Valdemar Wawrosz. Their unwavering commitment to supporting people leaving prison has created a model that continues to deliver lasting social impact. Through their leadership countless individuals have been given the opportunity to replace uncertainty with hope and build brighter futures through employment.

Throughout the evening, guests heard moving stories of resilience, determination and achievement. Employers shared powerful testimonials about the value that Tempus Novo candidates bring to their organisations. Many spoke passionately about recruiting individuals through the charity and highlighted the exceptional loyalty, commitment, work ethic and resilience that these employees demonstrate every day.

The event reinforced an important message: providing someone with an opportunity is not simply an act of goodwill it is a sound investment in people. Businesses across multiple sectors have discovered an often overlooked talent pool through Tempus Novo with many candidates going on to be promoted and become some of their most valued and trusted team members.

Guests also heard many inspiring accounts from individuals whose lives have been transformed through employment. Their stories served as a reminder that while people may make mistakes in the past they are also capable of remarkable change when given the support and opportunity to succeed.

A recurring theme throughout the evening was the ripple effect created by employment. When one person secures sustainable work the benefits extend far beyond the individual. Families are strengthened, communities become safer and stronger, employers gain dedicated employees, and society as a whole benefits.

The evening concluded with reflections from former Cabinet Minister and current MP Sir Iain Duncan Smith whose closing remarks captured the spirit of the occasion. He reminded guests that:

“To change a life is to change the world.”

Those words resonated throughout the room and perfectly reflected the mission that Tempus Novo has pursued for the last twelve years.

Thank You

Tempus Novo would like to extend its sincere thanks to everyone who attended, supported, sponsored and contributed to making the evening such a tremendous success.

Special thanks go to our employers, partners, ambassadors, trustees, volunteers and supporters whose belief in the charity's mission continues to create life changing opportunities every day. Also a very special thank you to Matthew Mackaness at Rudding Park and all his staff for making such a special evening possible.

Most importantly, we celebrate the men and women who have rebuilt their lives through employment and determination. Their success stories are the true measure of Tempus Novo’s impact and the reason we continue our work.

As the charity looks ahead to the future, the message from Rudding Park was clear: together we can continue creating opportunities, transforming lives and proving that second chances, supported by meaningful employment, can change the world.
