I have recently been granted parole from HMP Hatfield. While serving my sentence there, I was fortunate enough to access a range of courses aimed at helping with my rehabilitation and preparing me for a return to the community. One of the most impactful experiences during my time was being introduced to Tempus Novo through the Employment and Resettlement Hub.

Tempus Novo, as I understand it, is a charity based organisation that supports prisoners and ex-offenders in finding meaningful employment. My experience with them was extremely positive. They had access to a wide range of job opportunities across various companies, and they acted as a vital bridge between people like myself and potential employers.

At first, I had doubts about whether I could find a job, given my criminal background. But working with the staff at Tempus Novo particularly my mentor Caroline, who is also the Ops Manager for Yorkshire helped take those doubts away. Caroline believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself. Her guidance, encouragement, and tireless support made a real difference. She didn’t just help me apply for jobs she helped restore my confidence, showing me that I was capable of turning things around.

Even now, after securing employment, Caroline and the team at Tempus Novo continue to check in on me. That ongoing support means a lot, as it shows they haven’t just forgotten about me the moment I walked out of prison.

I would strongly recommend Tempus Novo to anyone in the situation I found myself in. Their dedication is genuine, and their support can truly change lives. I want to thank everyone involved especially Caroline and the Resettlement Hub team at HMP Hatfield for helping me get to where I am today.
