We’re Honoured to Be Chosen as a Charity Beneficiary of Royal Ascot’s Britannia Stakes
We are Humbled to be Among Charities to Benefit from Royal Ascot’s Britannia Stakes
LONDON, June 17 – Britain’s leading bookmakers will once again donate all profits from the iconic Britannia Stakes race at Royal Ascot to seven UK charities, with TempusNovo standing out as a key beneficiary.
This marks the sixth year of the Betting and Gaming Council’s (BGC) fundraising initiative, which has already raised over £3 million. The 2025 race takes place on June 19, with profits from win and eachway bets donated after tax and duties.
Bookmakers involved include Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Unibet, Virgin Bet, and Bet with Ascot, among others.
If no profits are made, BGC members will donate a combined £200,000.
TempusNovo, a charity that supports ex-offenders into employment, was singled out for its unique mission.
“Employment is key to breaking the cycle of crime,” said CEO Steve Freer. “Being one of only seven chosen charities is humbling.”
Other beneficiaries include Prostate Cancer UK, Missing People, SAS Regimental Association, Racing to School, Greenhouse Sports, and Ascot Racecourse Supports.
BGC CEO Grainne Hurst said the initiative proves “charities are guaranteed to win big even if punters don’t.”
Since 2019, BGC members have raised over £6 million for health, veteran, and education causes.
